The Five Key Leadership Practices

Leadership is “common sense, but not common practice”. In this presentation, we will examine what makes a great leader “great”, looking at a common sense approach as well as Kouzes and Posner’s five key leadership practices. We will also look at what you can do to improve your leadership capability.

Whether you’re a project manager or project contributor, you will benefit from and enjoy this interactive presentation.

About the Speaker:Jesse Freese is the President of SPL. He joined the company in 1989 with three partners and has been President and CEO since 1997. Besides leading SPL, Jesse develops and delivers simulation powered learning workshops and has successfully guided over 10,000 professionals through a variety of project management and leadership related workshops and seminars.

Jesse was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota in the Master of Science in Software Engineering Degree Program.  He co-designed and co-developed the course material for the Software Project Management course.

Jesse is a member of the Project Management Institute, International Institute of Business Analysis, the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a founder of the Twin Cities Software Process Improvement Network (TwinSPIN) organization.

Jesse graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BS degree in Computer Science and received an MBA from Monmouth College.
